Winter Snow

Growing up in the north, I developed a love for winter.  I can remember building snow forts in the dark, building snowmen with mom, sledding, and enjoying the winter beauty of a fresh snowfall.

Winter here in the south is a bit different.  It rarely snows and when it does it disappears as fast as it came.  The closest thing to snow this December has been the icicles that formed on the cliff-side in front of my apartment building.

They were beautiful, but soon disappeared with warmer weather.

While I haven’t seen my winter snow yet, I do have a song to share about 2 of my favorite things…winter snow & the birth of Jesus.  It was written and performed by Audrey Assad (look for her album next year) and featured on Chris Tomlin’s Christmas record, Glory In The Highest.
